- 125 g softened butter
- ½ C brown sugar
- ½ C white sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla essence
- 1 egg
- 1 ¾ C plain flour
- 1 ¾ tsp baking powder (1 ¼ tsp Colorado)
- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ C chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees (355 F).
- Beat butter sugars and vanilla until pale and creamy, add egg and beat until mixed.
- Sift in flour, baking powder, add salt and mix until combined before stirring in chocolate chips.
- Roll heaped teaspoon sized balls of mixture and place on tray, press down lightly with fork.
- Bake for approx 12 minutes. (1 or two less in Colorado)
