- ½ C butter
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 C golden syrup
- 2 Tbsp Molasses
- 1 C boiling water
- 2 ¼ C flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp cinamon
Cream together butter sugar. Add egg. Blend in golden syrup, molasses and water. Sift together and stir in dry ingredients. Pour into gresed 9’’ square tin. Bake 325 f (160 C) for 40-50 minutes.
